How to Setup Voicemail to Email

Process

  1. Log into UDT Voice Portal
  2. Navigate to Users > Desired Extension > Voicemail Tab
  3. Under Notifications, Check "Receive an email for new voicemail"

  4. Email type and After Email Notification becomes available for selection

    2. Email type:
      1. Send with Hyperlink
        1. Sends an email with a web URL to directly go to the portal
      2. Send with brief Hyperlink
        1. Sends an Email with a web URL shortened to omit file details (time created, etc.)
      3. Send with Attachment (Recommended)
        1. Sends an Email with the voicemail as an attachment to the user's inbox
      4. Send with brief Attachment
        1. Sends an Email with the voicemail as an attachment to the user's inbox with the filename shortened to omit file details
    3. After Email Notification
      1. Leave as new
        1. Leaves the original voicemail in the voicemail box and can be checked still on a physical phone
        2. Physical phone will still have the "Message Waiting Indicator" still lit
        3. Counts against the user voicemail box storage limit
      2. Move to saved
        1. Leaves the original voicemail in the voicemail box and can be checked still on a physical phone
        2. Physical phone will not have the "Message Waiting Indicator" still lit
        3. Counts against the user voicemail box storage limit
      3. Move to trash (Recommended)
        1. Moves original voicemail to trash and frees up space on voicemail storage limit

If voicemail transcription is available (Basic Scope and above), when voicemails are delivered there will be a Speech-to-Text transcription included
