Enhanced Security Controls

UDT Hosted Voice now provides expanded security controls in a dedicated Security tab. Administrators can manage primary and additional email addresses, configure Single Sign-On options, and establish authentication requirements for their domain.

When an email address is added, users may be prompted to verify the address, providing an additional layer of account security.

Email Address Verification

As part of the new security updates, email address verification helps confirm that the email address is valid and that the individual with access to the account has verified it. Because the email address may be used for password resets or account recovery, verification is a standard security best practice.

Does email verification need to be completed before a Force Password or Welcome Email is sent?

No. Email verification does not need to be completed before sending a Force Password or Welcome Email. Administrators can send a separate verification email to the user at any time. Once the user completes the verification, the email address will be marked as verified.

This process allows the email address to be verified without requiring the user to reset credentials or take any additional account recovery steps.
