Place a Call
You can place and answer calls on your phone usingUsing the handsethandset:, headset, or speakerphone, and you can alternate among the three modes during calls, if available.
Do one of the following:
- Pick up the
handset and presshandset. - Enter the

key, or theNew Call softkey. Then, enter the phonenumber and press the Sendsoftkey.soft key.
Using the speakerphone:
You can alternately press the New Call soft key, enter the number and press the Dial Sendsoftkey. Then,soft pick upkey.

Answering a Call

Answer a Call When in a Call
When you’re in an active call and an incoming call arrives on the same or a different line, a call waiting tone beeps and the Incoming Call screen displays.
- Select Answer and the active call goes on hold, and the incoming call becomes active.
Answer a Call from an Expansion Module
- Press the expansion module line key that has the flashing green LED indicator.
End Call
Using the handset:

To place a call on hold:
To resume the call, do one of the following:
- If there is only one call on hold, press Resume or
. - If there is more than one call on hold, highlight the desired call and press Resume or

Resume a Call on an Expansion Module
- Press the line key corresponding to the line with the held call.
Call Transfer
You can transfer a call in the following ways:
Blind Transfer: Transfers the call directly to another line without speaking with the other party first.
- Press the Transfer soft key or the transfer
key. - Enter the extension to which you want to transfer.
- Press the Send soft key to complete the transfer or Cancel to return to the caller.
Consultative Transfer: Enables you to speak with the other party before completing the transfer.
- Press the Transfer soft key or the transfer
key. - Press the Consultative soft key.
- Enter the extension to which you want to transfer.
- Press the Send soft key to continue the transfer or Cancel to return to the caller.
- If the call is answered, press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer or the Cancel soft key to cancel the transfer and return to the original caller.
- If the call is unanswered, press the Cancel soft key to return to the original caller.
Voicemail Transfer

Call Forward
Forward a call:
- On the Incoming Call screen, press the Forward softkey.
- Enter the number to forward the call to.
- Press the Forward softkey.
To forward all calls:
- Press the More soft key.
- Then press the Forward soft key.
- Press 1 or the select button to choose:
- Always - Forwards all incoming calls.
- No Answer - Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
- Busy - Forwards incoming calls when you're in a call.
- Enter the campus extension to which you want to forward your calls.
- Press the Enable soft key.
To cancel call forward:
- Press the More soft key.
- Then press the Forward soft key.
- Press 1 or the select button to choose Always..
- Press the Disable soft key to turn off call forwarding.
Call Conference
Imitate a Conference Call:
- Call a contact.
- When the contact answers, select the Conference softkey. The phone places the call on hold.
- Enter another contact’s number, select a contact from the directory, or select a contact from the call lists.
- When the contact answers, select the Conference softkey. All call participants are added to a conference call.
Join Calls to Create a Conference Call:
- If you have multiple held calls, select the call you want to include in the conference call.
- Select the Join softkey.
The active call and selected held call join into a conference. If you have multiple held calls, the other held calls on the line remain held.
Hold a Conference Call:
- Select Hold.
When you place a conference call on hold, the phone places all conference participants on hold.
Resume a Conference Call:
- Select Resume.
Resuming a held conference call enables all participants to rejoin the call.
Split a Conference Call:
- During a conference call, select the Split softkey.
Splitting a conference call ends the conference and places the participants on hold in individual calls. You can then resume one of the held calls.
End a Conference Call:
- During a conference call, select End Call.
Speed Dial

Favorites display as speed dials on the lines screen.
Call Favorites:
From the Favorites List:
- Press the Home key.
NavigateGo to Directories and selectFavorites.Favorites.- Select a contact from the list.
- Press the Dial softkey.
From the Lines Screen:
- Select a line key associated with a
favoritefavorite/speed dial on the Lines screen. The phone places a call to the favorite automatically.
Voice Message
The message waiting indicator on the idle screen indicates that one or more voice messages are waiting at the message center. The power indicator LED slowly flashes red.
To listen to voice messages:
- Press the VMail
Gosofttokey or press the Home key and select Messages. SelectMessages Center.SelectConnectand followFollow the voice prompts to listen to your voice messages.
Recent Calls
Do one ofUsing the following:Home key:
- Go to Directories and then Call Lists.
- Go to Recent Calls.
From the Home Screen:
- Press the Recent Calls soft key.
The Recent Calls list displays all call types, with the most recent displaying first. From the list, you can:
- Sort, order, and filter calls by type
- Select More and then Sort
- Time
- Name
- Under Order
- Ascending
- Descending
- Under Type
- Missed calls
- Received Calls
- Placed Calls
- Select More and then Sort
- Delete calls from the list
- Select the record
- Navigate to the call record, and then select Information
- Select Delete
- View call details
- Select the record
- Navigate to the call record, and then select Information
- Save a call to contacts directory
- Select the record
- Navigate to the call record, and then select Information
- Select Add to Contacts
Contact Directory
To add a contact:
1. Do one of the following:
- Go to Directories and then Contact Directory.
- On the Lines screen, hold and press a key for an available line (+).
2. In the Contact Directory, select Add.
3. On the Add Contact screen, enter your contact’s phone number in the Contact field. All other fields are optional.
4. Select Save to accept the change.
To edit a contact:
1. Do one of the following:
- Go to Directories and then Contact Directory.
- Go to Menu then Directories then Contact Directory.
2. In the Contact Directory, do one of the following:
- Select the contact.
- Navigate to the contact, and then select Information.
3. On the contact information screen, select Edit.
4. On the Edit Contact screen, update the contact’s information.
5. Select Save.
To delete a contact:
1. Do one of the following:
- Go to Directories and then Contact Directory.
- Go to Menu then Directories then Contact Directory.
2. In the Contact Directory, do one of the following:
- Select the contact.
- Navigate to the contact, and then select Information.
3. On the contact information screen, select Delete.
4. Select Delete to delete the contact.
