Place a Call
You can place and answer calls on your phone using the handset, headset, or speakerphone, and you can alternate among the three modes during calls, if available.
Do one of the following:
- Pick up the handset and press the
,
key, or the New Call softkey. Then, enter the phone number and press the Send softkey. - Enter the phone number and press the Dial softkey. Then, pick up the handset, and press for speakerphone or for headset.
Answering a Call
You can place and answer calls on your phone using the handset, headset, or speakerphone.
Answer a Call When in a Call
When you’re in an active call and an incoming call arrives on the same or a different line, a call waiting tone beeps and the Incoming Call screen displays.
- Select Answer and the active call goes on hold, and the incoming call becomes active.
Answer a Call from an Expansion Module
- Press the expansion module line key that has the flashing green LED indicator.
End Call
Redial
Pressto enterSelectPlaced CallsMenulist, select the desired entryandpressorthenSendRedial.Presswhen the phone is idle to dial out the last dialed number.
Call Hold
To place a call on hold:
To resume the call, do one of the following:
- If there is only one call on hold, press Resume or
. - If there is more than one call on hold, highlight the desired call and press Resume or
.
Resume a Call on an Expansion Module
- Press the line key corresponding to the line with the held call.
Call Transfer
You can transfer a call in the following ways:
Blind Transfer: Transfers the call directly to another line without speaking with the other party first.
- Press the Transfer soft key or the transfer
key. - Enter the extension to which you want to transfer.
- Press the Send soft key to complete the transfer or Cancel to return to the caller.
Consultative Transfer: Enables you to speak with the other party before completing the transfer.
- Press the Transfer soft key or the transfer
key. - Press the Consultative soft key.
- Enter the extension to which you want to transfer.
- Press the Send soft key to continue the transfer or Cancel to return to the caller.
- If the call is answered, press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer or the Cancel soft key to cancel the transfer and return to the original caller.
- If the call is unanswered, press the Cancel soft key to return to the original caller.
Voicemail Transfer
- Press the More soft key until you see the T2VM soft key
- Press the T2VM soft key.
- Enter the extension you want to transfer to.
- Press the Enter soft key. The caller has been transferred to the voicemail of the extension you entered.
Call Forward
Forward a call:
- On the Incoming Call screen, press the Forward softkey.
- Enter the number to forward the call to.
- Press the Forward softkey.
To forward all calls:
- Press the More soft key.
- Then press the Forward soft key.
- Press 1 or the select button to choose:
- Always - Forwards all incoming calls.
- No Answer - Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
- Busy - Forwards incoming calls when you're in a call.
- Enter the campus extension to which you want to forward your calls.
- Press the Enable soft key.
To cancel call forward:
- Press the More soft key.
- Then press the Forward soft key.
- Press 1 or the select button to choose Always..
- Press the Disable soft key to turn off call forwarding.
Call Conference
Imitate a Conference Call:
WhileCall a contact.- When the contact answers, select the Conference softkey. The phone places the call on
a call, press the More soft key. Then press Conference.hold.- Enter another contact’s number, select a contact from the
campus extensiondirectory, orphoneselectnumbera contact from the call lists. - When the contact answers, select the Conference softkey. All call participants are added to
adda conference call.
Join Calls to Create a Conference Call:
- If you have multiple held calls, select the call you want to include in the conference call.
- Select
Pressthe Join softkey.
The active call and selected held call join into a conference. If you have multiple held calls, the Sendother softheld key.
Hold a Conference Call:
- Select Hold.
When you place a conference call ison answered, presshold, the Morephone softplaces keyall conference participants on hold.
Resume a Conference Call:
- Select Resume.
Resuming a held conference call enables all participants to rejoin the call.
Split a Conference Call:
- During a conference call, select the Split softkey.
Splitting a conference call ends the conference and thenplaces the Conferenceparticipants softon keyhold toin connectindividual calls. You can then resume one of the held calls.
End a Conference Call:
- During a conference call, select End Call.
Speed Dial
To configure a speed dial key:
To use the speed dial key:
- Press the SpeedDial to dial out the preset number.
Voice Message
The message waiting indicator on the idle screen indicates that one or more voice messages are waiting at the message center. The power indicator LED slowly flashes red.
To listen to voice messages:
PressGo toHomeMessages.- Select Messages Center.
- Select Connect and follow the voice prompts to listen to your voice messages.

PressGothetoHistoryDirectorieswhenand then Call Lists.- Go to Recent Calls.
Do one of the following:
The Recent Calls list displays all call types, with the phonemost isrecent idle,displaying pressfirst. or to scroll through the list.

Contact Directory
To add a contact:

Press4. Select Save to accept the change.
To edit a contact:

DetailMenu then Directoriesfromthen Contact Directory. - Select the contact.
EditNavigate to the contact, and then select Information.- information screen, select Edit.
Press4. On theSaveEdit Contact screen,to acceptupdate thechange.

To delete a contact:
